How can you save in your electricity bill? How is the energy market regulated in Spain? shall I choose voluntary rates for a small consumer or go for the rates of the free market?
In the video below, it´ll show how the free market rates are more expensive than the voluntary prices for a small consumer nowadays. In principle, the voluntary prices for a small consumer has the fluctuation marked by the hour of the day, this is, the price of the energy in the morning could be a few cents cheaper than in the afternoon. The “revolution” or the “turnover” most electric companies announced by the time they liberalized the energy market is quite technical and if anyone is looking for any saving in their electricity bill, they will need a special electric meter able to manage those fluctuations technically. The full implementation of this technology has a deadline to 2018.
